This past Wednesday night, YLC of Federation hosted a volunteer appreciation night for everyone who volunteered with YLC over the past year. Although there are too many of you to name individually – 249 of you in fact – I am truly grateful for all that you have done. Thanks to all of your time, brainstorming, planning, recruiting and much more YLC has had an amazing year!
You’ve been instrumental in planning over 20 programs, including 4 hands-on volunteer projects, 5 “Nosh to Meet You” lunches, 5 large social outreach events, 3 mini-missions, 4 educational programs and much more. These programs connected hundreds of young professionals and families with young children with the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and exposed them to the amazing work taking place in our Jewish community. Yasher Koach!
Our volunteer appreciation night at Park Tavern was a great opportunity to recognize all of you and all of your hard work. Sure, we gathered together to eat and drink, but perhaps the best part was reminiscing about the past year and talking about what’s in store for the future of YLC.
My favorite thing about volunteering with YLC has been taking an active part in our community and meeting so many new and amazing people. What has been your favorite experience with YLC of Federation? Please Share!
