Our mission is central to Jewish values.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is deeply rooted in fundamental Jewish precepts: our responsibility to one another and our commitment to tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (repairing the world).
As the central funding and organizing arm of Atlanta's vibrant Jewish community, the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, with the support of our community, helps fund social and humanitarian agencies and programs here in Atlanta, in Israel and in 63 countries around the world.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is one of the largest Jewish fundraising and philanthropic organizations in the Southeast. We serve as an umbrella organization, supporting 17 beneficiary agencies in greater Atlanta. Our volunteer lay leaders number in the hundreds and, along with our staff, they plan for communal needs and budget and allocate the monies raised through our Annual Campaign, the Endowment Fund, and the Community Capital Campaign.
We are home to the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum, the Southeast's largest museum dedicated to Jewish culture and history. Every year, 40,000 people, Jews and non-Jews alike, visit the Museum to learn about the Jewish experience.
