How We Do It

The programs and services our network of agencies provide are contingent on the successful fundraising and planning efforts made by Federation volunteers and staff.  Thousands of donors from every corner of our community contribute their time and money.

We are blessed with generous donors who contribute their philanthropic dollars to:

The Campaign for Community Needs
Through the 2006 Annual Campaign, Federation allocated around $18 million.  We support the agencies that provide humanitarian, social and educational programming locally and internationally with funds raised.

Planned Giving and Endowments
Donors accomplish their charitable objectives both during their lives and after their deaths through bequests, trusts, endowments or philanthropic funds, thereby creating a legacy for future generations.  In 2001, the Endowment Fund distributed gifts in the sum of $35 million to various charitable, religious and educational recipients.

Corporate Sponsorships
Partnering with Atlanta businesses enhances Federation's relationship with this important segment of our community and provides companies with ways to demonstrate community support.  Sponsorship increases a company's visibility and, by defraying some of the expenses associated with our fundraising efforts, Federation is able to increase allocations.
