The Annual Jewish Community Commemoration of Yom HaShoah will be held April 18, 2004 at 10:30am, rain or shine, at the Memorial to the Six Million, Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Ave, SE. This one-hour service of mourning and memory features speaker Tosia Schneider, local survivor from Poland; music and reflections from students of the Atlanta Jewish day schools; presentation of colors by the Jewish War Veterans; remarks by Consul General of Israel, Shmuel Ben Shmuel; and the lighting of the six torches by survivors and their families.
That afternoon, survivors will be honored guests of The Breman for a 3:00pm concert by renowned Israeli clarinetist, Gilad Harel, performing theater pieces by composers living in Jewish ghettos during the Holocaust. Survivors and their guests will be admitted free-of-charge. Tickets for all others are: $18 for Breman members; $20 for non-members; $9 for students & seniors.

In honor of Yom HaShoah, The Breman Museum will provide free admission to its galleries 1:00-5:00pm, including Absence of Humanity: The Holocaust Years.
