DID YOU KNOW? THE J attracts a diverse audience from throughout the entire community for festivals, classes, leagues, concerts, shows, educational programs, speakers, cultural events and more on a regular basis. In fact, when you add the MJCCA's year-round attendance figures, turnstile counts, recurring visitors, national and international guests, and subscribers it adds up to nearly three million touches per year. THE J:
• distributes hundreds of thousands of scholarship dollars annually to those in need.
• offers extraordinary programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• runs the nationally recognized
• manages HouseMate Match and Home But Not Alone (which recently won one of the nation's most prestigious awards for non-profits given annually by Mutual of America).
• And provides many more outreach programs throughout our community.
In direct response to the requests of several members who wished to use the MJCCA's fitness and sports facilities earlier in the day, Zaban Park is now open at 5:30 a.m. during the week, and Shirley Blumenthal Park now opens at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays.
The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta is a beneficiary agency of JFGA, and received $1,432,842 in FY04.
